Q. How long does it take to distill a run of private label vodka?
A. Roughly two to four weeks once we have a recipe and all of the ingredients are under roof. Creating bottles, labels and other packaging will likely extend that time. So will the process of obtaining government approval on the label.
Q. What is a "run"?
A. At Colorado Pure Distilling, a run is six cases. There are twelve 750ml bottles in every case. That's the minimum number of bottles we can private label at one time.
Q. I prefer fruit-flavored vodkas. Do you infuse the flavor or simply add it later?
A. Both. You choose. Infusing means that the fruit is actually soaking in the vodka during distillation.
Q. What is the cost per bottle?
A. Since every private label recipe is different - some involving more steps than others - we'll gladly provide a cost once we have a better idea of what you want to create.
Q. Can people call with questions?
A. Absolutely. But, don't be surprised if we try to get you off the phone and on your way here. That's because the magic happens when you visit our distillery, not on the phone. We encourage face-to-face meetings. And we enjoy partnering with people who love to roll up their sleeves.
Q. How many times can we meet?
A. That first get-acquainted meeting, consultation and tour is absolutely free. Once you sign on as a private label partner, every meeting is free. Visit as often as you like.
Q. I see the word "vodka" mentioned most. What about other spirits?
A. Vodka is our focus currently. As we grow, we will add other spirits. But, we're listening. If you want it we can likely private label it.
Q. What does hockey have to do with making vodka?
A. Nothing, other than the fact that both go well with ice. But, both Pat and Rob love hockey, and are as passionate about making vodka as they are about everything else in their lives.
